Officer Clancy approaches Charlie and Mortimer and asks them about their wake-up service. He then informs the two that he doesn’t need their services after all – he has an alarm clock.
Later, he is called upon to answer an alarm at the Continental Diamond Exchange where a huge vault has gone missing. He leads a team of officers and arrests the Black Spot but fails to apprehend Charlie and Mortimer who helped the Black Spot when threatened.
