Ogre Close Up

Native American myths and legends explain Ogre as a biological weapon left by aliens who visited the Earth in the far distant past. Considered the Aztec God of Fighting, Ogre is drawn to strong fighters, and strength. Leader of the conglomerate Mishima Zaibatsu Heihachi Mishima is aware of this and seeks the means to control and obtain samples of Ogre for his own purposes. Forming a Tekken Force, to act as his own military force, Heihachi sets about trying to awaken Ogre by holding another King of the Iron Fist tournament. Many of Heihachi’s Tekken Force are destroyed in a temple located in Mexico after finding Ogre. After this incident many of the worlds top competitive martial artists are attacked by the Fighting God Ogre and either killed or severely injured with their fighting styles and essences absorbed by the ancient alien.

Among many of Ogre’s victims are Baek, Jun, and King. A direct consequence of these actions is several fighters from around the world who had been trained by the various master fighters Ogre killed, developed a grudge, including Baek’s student Hwoarang, Jun’s son Jin Kazama, and Armor King. As they are familiar with Ogre from their ancestors myths and stories, Julia Chang and her mother Michelle Chang also seek to stop the powerful fighter. Ogre’s reawakening also brings both Anna Williams and Nina Williams out from their cryogenic slumber. The first form of Ogre is eventually defeated by Paul Phoenix, however the American fighter leaves sure of his victory before Ogre transforms to his true form.
