Origin
Olivia Hooks is a member of S.H.I.E.L.D. She was ordered to subdue Spider-Man by Director Hill when he wouldn’t reveal information regarding M-Day. Hook ordered him to sleep because of his emotional pain (she cannot read an unconscious mind).
Creation
Olivia Hook was created by Brian Michael Bendis and Mike Deodato, Jr., and she first appeared in The New Avengers #19.
Character Evolution
When Fury, Dum Dum and Gabe Jones begin recruiting an army they mention Hooks. After a successful better with Hydra and the defection of almost 3000 H.A.M.M.E.R agents, Fury asks Dugan how many Psi Agents they currently have. Dum Dum states that they currently only have Olivia Hooks.
Whilst visiting Hotspot, the Europeen Command Centre in France; Fury leads Daisy to a room where Dum Dum, Mikel Fury, Alexander Pierce and Olivia Hooks are waiting. Fury tells Daisy that Olivia is the resident psi agent and in charge of internal security for their little outfit. Olivia then takes hold of Daisy’s head and does a mental scan, declaring that she’s clean. When using her power, her eyes glow purple. She is then asked to leave and Dum Dum tells her he’ll catch up with her in a bit.
