While attempting to resurrect Darkseid using the deceased body of Alexander Luthor and beings from other multiverses, Dr. Impossible instead summons the Omega Man, a being who appears to be the manifestation of several million souls from the different DC Universe multiverses. Subsequently battling the new JLA in Washington DC, he is an extremely powerful villain and a force to be reckoned with. Â
