Ophis was a member of the Neyaphem, who served under Azazel. At Azazel’s command, Ophis was torturing Wolverine. When Logan broke free, he killed Ophis.

Ophis was created by Chuck Austen and Philip Tan and made his first appearance in Uncanny X-Men # 429 in 2003.
Powers
Ophis had superhuman strength and resistance to injury granted by his massive size. Additionally, he was able to create a pyrotechnic charge from his fists.
