Orvax

Current Events

Orvax, an Atlantean Navy captain, was chosen to represent the military in a wedding between the Atlantean royal family and the armed forces chain of command.

He was married to Atlanna, Aquaman‘s mother, when she returned from her escape to the surface, after giving birth to Aquaman. He had a son with Atlanna, named Orm, but he was violent and erratic and murdered on the day of Orm’s twelfth birthday.

At some unspecified time, he also fathered Tula.

History

Orvax Marius was a naval commander in charge of the Atlantean combat forces. He and Atlanna were eloped in a whirl wind marriage set by the high caste of Atlantis in order to bridge both royalty and argosy as one.

But the captain was, difficult, both as a spouse and king of a country. Orvax regularly abused his wife in front of their young son Orm, led raids on surface ships using his military authority.

Even many people within Atlantis itself couldn’t abide by his deranged nature. Because of the way he ran things many of his subjects grew irked and tiresome of his antics, especially his wife. Once when Atlanna attempted to leave Atlantis for good he bragged of having killed her first love and infant elder son.

Unbeknownst to everyone however, whom all believed he’d been assassinated in his own palace, he’d been egregiously killed by a be-grieved Atlanna. Enraged at his cruel boasts of committing familicide.
