During the American Civil War, Vazilek was in the United States, and met Connor MacLeod, who ran into a monastery. A man named John Hooke was after him and was even willing to fight on the holy ground. Vazilek stepped in and forced Hooke to leave.
Throughout the years, Vazilek followed Hooke, who lost his mind and became a serial killer, but never caught him. In 1955, Vazilek tracked Hooke to New York, where Connor MacLeod also resided. Vazilek checked on Connor, and together they went after Hooke. But Hooke escaped by jumping into a river.
Vazilek once again tracked Hooke to New York in 1985. He once more met up with MacLeod, before going to meet Hooke, who this time had set up a meeting. However Vazilek was ambushed by The Kurgan, who with more fighting experience killed Vazilek, while MacLeod was fighting Hooke.
