The man known as Overload was born screaming and never stopped according to his mother due to what doctors called “chronic pain”. As it turns out, this pain was the result of electronic signals and buzzing that in addition to hurting him charged him up with electrical power. When the Crime Syndicate of America caused a blackout during the events of Forever Evil, Overload’s pain went away but quickly returned once things returned to normal. Overload vowed to eliminate the buzzing and resents not being born in a time where buzzing wouldn’t have been a problem. Because of his adversity to electronics and signals, Overload travels in horse and carriage with a horse named Alastair.
