Major Story Arcs
Dragonball Z
Pan was trained by her grandfather Goku and at the age of four participated in the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament. At this time she was participating against adults and easily defeated her first opponent.
Dragonball GT
Throughout her life she is shown to be very tough and charismatic, she accompanies Goku and Trunks in most of their adventures in space when she becomes a young girl.
During the Baby Saga she becomes awe struck and extremely sad when she thinks her parents do not love her anymore when in reality Baby had already infected them and put them under his control. When Goku transforms into a golden oozaru, it is Pan’s pleas to her grandfather that allow him to regain control of himself and transform into a Super Saiyan 4.
Pan helped Goku defeat the Shadow Dragons and is very interested in her Saiyan heritage, often asking Gohan questions about Saiyans. Pan did not wish to become a Super Saiyan though as she thought if she became too strong she wouldn’t be able to get a boyfriend.
Pan is later seen as an old woman taking care of Goku Jr. in the future and later dies in her deathbed with Goku Jr. by her side.
Powers & Abilites
Being a Human/Saiyan hybrid Pan is much stronger than most humans with exception of Krillin, Yamcha and Tien. Pan possesses superhuman strength far beyond normal humans because of her Saiyan heritage and she has been seen easily defeating one of the weaker Shadow Dragons. She also has superhuman speed and is able to travel far beyond the speed of a car. She also possesses superhuman agility and stamina however she is not tireless and there have been several occasions in which she displays signs of exhaustion and fatigue though her body produces less fatigue poisons than a human’s body. Pan is also able to manipulate energy and has displayed energy blasts and energy beams though her energy manipulation is limited.
She is also able to fly as all Saiyans are even though she is a hybrid, she is unable to transform into a Super Saiyan and it is said because she is too distant from her Saiyan heritage to become a Super Saiyan. However Goku Jr. was able to transform into a Super Saiyan and he is much more distant to his Saiyan heritage than Pan and Akira Toriyama (the creator of the Dragon Ball series) said that he could not think of any design for a female Super Saiyan.
Techniques
Afterimage Technique – Pan is fast enough to leave an afterimage behind in order to confuse her opponent.
Flight – Pan is able to fly under her own power.
Gill Missile – A rush attack used by Pan and Giru. Pan kicks her opponent in the stomach and then uppercuts them into the air. She calls for Giru who reveals a missile in his torso. After Pan covers her ears he fires.
Kamehameha Wave – Most likely taught to her by either her father Gohan or her grandfather Goku. Pan cups both hands together by her side and forms a whitish blue energy beam while calling the name of the attack. This is the signature attack of the Turtle School.
Maiden’s Rage – Pan only uses this attack when angered. She froms to large yellow energy spheres in her hand and combines them to fire a large yellow energy blast.
Masenko – Taught to her by her father Gohan who originally learned this from Piccolo. Pan places her hands above her head and fires a yellow energy beam that is comparable to the Kamehameha Wave.
Reliable Friend – Pan’s most powerful attack that can only be used in combonation with her robot friend Giru. Pan first punches her opponent then begins charging this attack the same way she charges Maiden’s Rage. While Giru distracts her opponent, Pan unleashes her ultimate attack.
Twin Energy Balls – One of Pan’s more powerful attacks. She charges small twin orange energy attacks that he fires at high speed.
