Panya is a classically trained belly dancer and former stripper who worked the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles clubs. She has a knack for guns, manipulation, and lies. She also bares an uncanny resemblance to Sahara. And it’s Casbah Joe who decides to take advantage of the fact, when he hires the seductive doppelganger as a performer in his restaurant, The Eye of the Needle. While attending a show with his fiance Sahara, Horn comments on the similarity between the two women. A simple, by-the-way remark that would lay the seeds of Sahara’s plans… so she can go out and explore the city from time to time, without Obadiah’s bodyguards and ever-watching eyes. Sahara uses Panya as her double, but it is a decision that would change both of their lives.
