Patty Bouvier is Selma’s twin and Marge’s older sister. Patty works at the Springfield DMV. Patty smokes a tremendous amount. Patty has a very strong dislike for Marge’s husband Homer and is not afraid to show it. Selma dislikes Homer, but not as much as Patty does. Later in the series, Patty reveals that she is a lesbian, which is odd because in season two she dated principal Skinner for an episode. The one time Patty has respect for Homer is when Homer was going to server Patty’s gay wedding. Patty has sworn herself to selibacy and is jaded by it. There are very few differences between Patty and her sister Selma. Patty’s hair is shaped differently and has a different necklace and earings. They both share their love for smoke and each other.
