Origin
Pep Morgan is a boxer and a young athlete whose tales mostly concerned competing in various events or participating in teams sports. As a boxer his manager was Pop Burkett.
Creation
Morgan is the protagonist of a series in “More Fun Comics” (1936 – 1938) and then in “Adventure Comics” and Action Comics (1938 – 1941). There was also the rare crime thriller plot which typical of “More Fun” offerings of his time. Even Little Linda and Spike Spaulding featured abduction plots and confrontation with organized crime.
