Peri Brown

Origin

Perpugilliam Brown, or Peri for short, was an American companion of the Doctor on TV’s Doctor Who.

Creation

Played by the English actress Nicola Bryant, she joined the show in the story Planet of Fire, just prior to the fifth Doctor, Peter Davison, regenerating into the sixth, Colin Baker, the very next story. She stayed with the sixth Doctor for two series, leaving in the story Mindwarp, the second installment of the four story Trial of a Time Lord that ran through that series.
