Pete Norris

Origin

A murderer who has been tried and convicted of his crimes. He sits on death row awaiting the electric chair.

Major Story Arcs

When Pete hears that the rivers are flooding, he decides to dig his way to freedom to avoid drowning like a rat with the rest of the inmates. He succeeds digging into underground passages and makes his way to a door. It is locked and water begins seeping into the room through a hole in the ceiling. Pete believes that the river is flooding the prison and decides to save himself by plugging the hole with his finger – just like the little Dutch boy in the old folk story. Pete doesn’t realize that the hole is an electric socket and is electrocuted to death. The irony is that the water dripping was really from the water main that he had damaged in his digging, which was patched before serious damage could be done.
