Philip Kane is the brother of Martha Kane, Bruce Wayne’s mother. A week after the death of the Waynes, Philip visited young Bruce and took him to the Museum of Natural History. They have had limited contact since then. Around the time Bruce was beginning to establish himself as Batman, Philip was the head of Wayne Enterprises. For reasons that are yet to be revealed, Alfred greatly disapproves of Philip.
