Phineas was a Thracian seer who was allowed to marry Cleopatra, daughter of Boreas, God of the North Wind. Initially favored by the Gods, Phineas had the poor judgement of revealing too much of the devine schemes to mortals. Thus provoking the wrath of Zeus.
Phineas was blinded by the Gods. They then send another punishment to him. The harpies, a group part human and part birds, arrived daily to steal his food. Slowly starving him to death. Until the Argonauts arrived and chased them away. Ending his punishment.
