Plague Boy

Origin

Little is known about Plague Boy. He was taken on as an apprentice and sidekick by the Horseman of the Apocalypse Plague. He and his compatriots in the Four Mopeds of the Apocalypse settled in Delta City, where they spent decades awaiting the signs of the coming apocalypse.

Creation

Plague Boy was created by Keith Giffen, Tom Bierbaum, and Mary Bierbaum. He made his first appearance in The Heckler #5. He is roughly analogous to the biblical figure of Pestilence.

Major Story Arcs

The Heckler

Living in a retirement village in Delta, Plague Boy watches a news report on the spontaneous explosions of six pigeons in Droolers’ Park, a sign of the End Times. He reunites with the other members of the Four Mopeds, who have observed similar signs. Together, they perform the ritual to summon the nether god Flying Buttress.

Powers and Abilities

Plague Boy appears to be a minor angel or deity of uncertain power or provenance. He may be immortal.
