Playback uses her postcognition to assist police and national security agencies in their investigations. Playback is notable for being one of the few paranormals positively judged by Justice, and playing a key role in revealing his identity to the public. Initially terrified of Justice and disapproving of his methods, Playback and Justice eventually form a working relationship, and she assists him in his failed attempt to hunt down a hired killer.
