Porm is the bottlenose dolphin that saved Arthur Curry, later to be known as Aquaman, from Mercy Reef when he was left there to die by the Atlanteans. She treated Arthur as a child and taught him how to swim and catch fish. Later on in his life as Aquaman, Porm became an advisor to Arthur during times of stress, often simplifying things that Arthur was making unnecessarily complicated. Arthur became the only ‘swimmer’ or ‘two fin’, as she called the Atlanteans that Porm trusted at all. Porm is actually the Queen of the dolphins and views each dolphin as her child, as opposed to viewing them as subjects. It’s a point of view that has made her a very effective leader.
