Powerman is a Nigerian hero with superhuman strength and durability. His only vulnerability is to snake bites; if he is bitten, he can recover by electrocuting himself.
NB: For reprints in the USA, he was renamed Powerbolt, to avoid potential confusion with Marvel’s Luke Cage. The character was produced on behalf of a Nigerian company, Picin, and published there, but the creative team were British, as Picin felt there was at the time a lack of home grown talent available.
