Demographics:
- Name: Danni Whiteside
- Age: Unknown. Presumably mid-thirties.
- Place of birth: Unknown.
- Found: Minnetonka, Minnesota
Abilities:
Danni “Pride” Whiteside has the ability to make clones of herself — the limits of which has not been established, but in issue one of Message Sent, she generated fifty-three clones in a battle again the Military Elite. These clones were exact duplications of her, down to eye retina patterns, fingerprints and bone marrow. During the battle with the Military Elite, Juliet stated that she could not distinguish the clones from the real person, meaning that they were so realistic, they could fool someone with formidable psychic abilities.
After the death of Foxtrot (presumably by her hands), Pride gained the ability of winged flight. Her metallic wings are created by nano-technology and rest dormant below the epidermis of the skin on her back. When needed, they take form and can rip out from whatever clothing she may be wearing at the time (as seen in issue four).
During their battle against Redemption Denied, J.J. Colt noticed that her aerial acrobatics exceeded the skills of Foxtrot (“Wow, I’m impressed. Even Foxtrot wasn’t THIS good in the air.”)
Yet, it seems that she is still able to make clones though the number has been reduced dramatically. In issue three, Pride was only able to make four. Presumably, the acquisition of flight became her primary ability and therefore, limited her powerset of clone creation.
Equipment:
Pride does not carry any equipment, armaments, gadgets or wear any body armor. Her glasses treat her Hyeropia (far-sightedness).
Personality:
Not much of her true personality is revealed, however, she seems to have a dual personality which is inherently different based on the proximity of others. Alone, Danni is quiet, thoughtful, tactical and, at times, maniacal. But with the rest of the team, she takes on a more leadership role, exuding confidence, keen decision-making skills, diplomacy and has been known to tell a small joke on occasion.
During their trip to Chile, she was able to relax and enjoy herself with the rest of the team, appearing more as a friend than leader. Danni has shown to be an excellent surfer as she was seen tunnel surfing off Algarrobo Beach.
In all three issues, she was either directly or absently referred to as the “most dangerous person on the team.” While the basis of those allegations went unanswered, the issues did reveal that Pride (and Pride alone) seemed to be different from the other members of the team. While the others underwent, “The Change,” Pride stayed exactly the same way she was. She was also the only one to have survived the battle against the Military Elite.
