Prince Rapture

Origin

A bird and member of the noble House of Goldfinch living in the garden Order, Prince Rapture, who is also called Rapt, rose to power amongst the birds, and was widely regarded as a skilled and powerful leader by his people and other factions in Order.

Creation

Prince Rapture was created by Bill Willingham and David Petersen. He made his first appearance in House of Mystery #7.

Major Story Arcs

The War

Leading his people in their endless war against the cats, Prince Rapture innovates the use of weapons to gain an upper hand against their eternal enemies. He attempts to recruit the bees into an alliance with the birds in order to finally eliminate the threat of the cats. However, at the behest of Mr. Hemlock, and concerned about the destabilization of the garden, the bees refuse him and attack, ultimately stinging him to death.

Powers and Abilities

Prince Rapture is a small bird, and so possesses all of the skills and abilities inherent to his species. He is capable of flight under his own power. He is also notably intelligent and innovative, and demonstrates great charisma, leadership ability, and political acumen. He is a skilled fighter and tactician.
