Princess Ariel is a sorceress in 3994 AD, an ally of Thundarr the barbarian and Ookla the mok, Thundarr were enslaved by her stepfather Sabian.
Creation
Princess Ariel had character design developed by artist Alex Toth, she resembles Tara from Herculoids, another character designed by Toth, however, Ariel has brown skin.

In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012), Crognard the Barbarian is an 80s animated series watched by the group, Crognard is an obvious parody of Thundarr, Ariel is represented by the sorceress Wizardess.
In Fairlady #3 – The Case of the Barbarian’s Secret by Brian Schirmer and Claudia Balboni: Kothan, Ari and Oosk are inspired by the three protagonists of the series.
