Princess Zelda

ABOUT THE CHARACTER

The princess of Hyrule who happens to be a damsel in distress in most of the games except for Ocarina Of Time when she transforms in her alter ego Sheik, a surviving member of the Sheikah clan that looks like a boy, that helps out Link. Ganondorf who holds the piece of Power of the Triforce usually kidnaps Zelda to use for bait to get Link to come to the rescue so Ganondorf can get the other two pieces of the Triforce which would make him unstoppable. However, not everytime he kidnaps Zelda as her name means “warrior princess” so she usually fights back. Also if she is kidnapped she somehow gets a hold of Link and aids him throughout his journey.

What makes her stand out from the rest of Nintendo’s princesses is that she takes her duty seriously and cares for her people as in Twilight Princess she even sacrificed her life to a being of the Twilight that was helping Link on his quest. Also In Wind Waker her alter ego Tetra is a pirate tomboy who sails the seas it’s been hinted in this game that she’s stronger than Link. In the upcoming Zelda game, Skyward Swords, instead of being a princess Zelda will be Link’s childhood friend this role was originally played by Saria in Ocarina of Time.
