He encountered and fought the X-men Wolverine and Archangel in their search for a way to save their fellow teammate, Psylocke’s life. In the end he was defeated by another alien named Kuragari, whom took over the Crimson Dawn dimension. Kuragari however was defeated by the two X-men as well. Proctor Tar’s sworn enemy was Gommur the Ancient.
