Proetos

In Greek mythology, Proétos, son of Abas and Aglaé, is king of Tiryns.

Twin brother of Acrisios (king of Argos), he quarrels with him from birth, until he disputes the control of the valley of Argolis. Through his wife Sthénébée, he begets Megapenthes, Lysippé, Iphinoé and Iphianassa.
