Professor Dalton’s most notable scientific achievement was the creation of a Duplicator Ray. The Ray was unsuccessful creating imperfect copies of things, including an imperfect copy of Superboy (named Bizarro). Although the machine was destroyed, Luthor later acquired the blueprints and reconstructed the device, which he then used to create Bizarro.
