Steve Stacey, Sky Detective works for the Civil Aeronautics Authority training pilots at the state university. Investigating mysterious deaths of student pilots with the help of Joyce Barton, the pair uncover a plot engineered by Professor Schultz, who teaches German at the university. His henchmen Greasy, a mechanic at the airport, sabotages the airplanes to murder pilots in training and keep them from joining the war effort.
