In Belle Reve, a penitentiary located in Louisiana that holds various super-villains as well as the secret covert operations organization called the Suicide Squad, a prison escape attempt was being led by a villain called Puma. The woman in charge of the Suicide Squad, Amanda Waller, came out to handle the situation, facing Puma directly. Puma informed Ms. Waller that he wanted to leave Belle Reve or he would be forced to tell his associates to kill the guards they were holding as hostages. Amanda Waller informed Puma that he had a small explosive device implanted in the back of his skull and the pen she had in her hand was the detonator. He fails to believe her and she clicks her pen, with Puma’s head exploding immediately. His associates quit their escape attempt, fearing that a bomb was implanted in their heads too.
