A young Pyro declared himself to be a conscientious objector when the war broke out, and was among the refugees headed for the Neutral Territories that were ambushed by the Decepticons. He joined the Resistance soon after and came to prominence after single-handedly rescuing a platoon of cadets trapped behind enemy lines. After further distinguishing himself in the series of off-world skirmishes, he was very nearly a casualty of the Simanzi Massacre. Only the last-minute intervention of Optimus Prime prevented him (and a thousand others) from falling into The Crucible.
