Queen Beryl is the first major villain in Sailor Moon, and appears in every adaptation of the manga.

She directly commands the four dark generals: Jadeite, Nephrite, Zoisite and Kuntzite (malachite). She was defeated by Sailor Moon in Beryl’s attempt to try and use Tuxedo Mask to take the Silver Moon Crystal from Sailor Moon who is the Moon Princess. Sailor Moon over powers her.
Originally, she was a peasant woman simply named Beryl whose unrequited love for the prince of the earth and her envy for his romance with the moon princess drove her to evil.
