Raina

Raina is the loud-mouthed, sarcastic, one-of-a-kind leader of sorts in the Band.   She has a tendency to rush into trouble and push limits but those traits keep her on top.

Donna was star-struck when she first saw Raina and her band.   They pulled her out of the way of monsters as well as other children they saw who could see them back.   All of the kids who were in Rocky‘s car moved into Kenji and Luke‘s, however, Raina and Donna are separated when a monster attacks.   Despite the fight going on around them Raina jumped across into the other car which then drove off to safety as Rocky served as a distraction.

Once they arrive at Camp Raina jumped at the chance to introduce Donna to a world of color.   She brought Donna to meet the Camp elder, Jackson with whom she discussed an attack on the Monsters.   Later, at Rocky’s funeral she decided to cheer up Donna by making her dance and party with the rest of them.   She even dressed in her version of a school uniform to help Donna fit in.

When the monsters attacked Raina helped arm her Band as they attacked the monsters to save their people.   The monsters tried to capture Donna, however, Raina pushed her out of the way to save her.   She was then captured by the monsters but not killed.

The team arrived to save her but they were too late, she was already grayscale because of the Gloom.   Donna tried to get her attention but she was unable to hear her.   In one final attempt to get her back Donna kissed her, which brought color back to them both.   Raina then led her team out only to be confronted with the Monster’s leader, the Veratu.   Raina is thrown aside but she got back up in time to shot the Veratu and save Donna.

 

Skills and Equipment

Raina uses a Bass to fight the monsters.   It has long pulse attacks and is the largest weapon out of her Band
