Ratfink, whose real name is Arthur Cunningham, is the owner of the castle the Ghoul Squad use as their base of operations.
Arthur is a very smart, successful and wealthy man. But unfortunately, he’s quite timid and susceptible to being used by others. So when Varney the Vampire showed up at the castle one day, Arthur didn’t stand up for himself when Varney barged in, declaring that he was taking over the castle for his own purposes.
Varney continuously berates and insults poor Arthur, treating him like dirt. Even though Arthur has saved the lives of the Ghoul Squad on more than one occasion, Varney refuses to see the poor man as anything but dirty scum living in the castle.
However, after proving his worth (and after the rest of the Ghoul Squad insisting), Varney agreed to let Arthur join the team. And he gave him the name “Ratfink.”
