Ray cannot fly, but like true flying squirrels, he can glide. Ray can glide very well, even without wind to help him. On a calm day, Ray loses about 1 foot of altitude for every 10 feet of distance glided. With wind, Ray can gain altitude and stay airborne for quite some time.
