Abigail Beryl Burns is a British columnist whose columns advocate the end of neo-liberal policies, ending capitalism and a series of other highly controversial political subjects. She was approached by the Mandarin’s flame blast ring and deemed worthy of wielding it. The ring’s goal for her: “Save the Earth from Tony Stark.”
Creation
Red Peril was created by Iron Man writer Kieron Gillen and penciller Joe Bennett. Her character is based on Laurie Penny, a British journalist with similar political views.
