Reverend Brown noted that Xavier was a good man who dedicated himself to the welfare of others. But that he lived in relative isolation. Only five people attended the funeral: Robert Drake, Jean Grey, Hank McCoy, Scott Summers, and Warren Worthington III.
When the former students of Xavier, noticed Pietro Maximoff observing them from a distance, they left in an attempt to approach him. Reverend Brown was not too pleased to see them go before the end of the ceremony. He accused them of forgetting “the solemnity of the occasion”.Â
