Origin

Rigonie is a mob boss and owner of Rigonie’s Night Club.

Rigonie’s right-hand man, Silky, runs a burglary ring at Rigonie’s orders. With Lefty ordering the henchmen truckers to assist in a nighttime theft at the Atlas Fur Storage, Pete notes to Lefty that the haul should prove a boon to the operation. Silky wants Lefty to hurry the assisting drivers. In the process, the night watchman is knocked out. When Silky tells Rigonie of the violence against the guard, the mob boss is angry, telling Silky that he wants there to be as little injury to bystanders as possible.

Jack Barrister and Chick discuss the recent burglaries, noting that 3 were done in a week. The pair go to Rigonie’s Night Club to talk to interview the bartender, Mickey. MIckey tells Jack and Chick what he knows, including that Rigonie is after Jack. At home, Jack is contacted by The Eye, who says that they would have to deal with Rigone.

When Jack leaves, Rigonie confronts Mickey, who states he’s not afraid of the mob boss. Rigonie orders Silky and Lefty to kill Mickey. The thugs take Mickey to a desolate place and finish the bartender off. The Eye sees the results of the dark deed.

The henchmen then follow orders from the mob boss to kidnap Jack’s wife, Fay Barrister. Taking Fay to Rigonie,
