Ripster

Origin

Ripster was a member of the Silver Squad which were android bounty hunters designed by the Tinkerer and created by Silvermane. Ripster and her other teammates which included Purdy Larry, Slambeaux and Twit confronted Mary Jane and Peter Parker after they interrupted their carriage ride in Central Park with some gunfire. Peter Parker fell behind some bushes a few feet away from Mary Jane when she was greeted by Ripster and her teammates. They knew that her husband was connected to Spider Man and they wanted his blood. Parker quickly changed to Spider Man and fought Ripster and the rest of the Silver Squad. Slambeaux accidentally shot Purdy Larry and Spider Man realized they were all androids so he cut loose. All the androids were destroyed except for Ripster so Spider Man drew her away from Mary Jane by leaving the park. Spider Man disarmed her from her bazooka so Ripster whipped out a knife coursing with energy. Spider Man evaded Ripster’s lunge attack and smacked her with a powerful uppercut. Ripster burst into flames but quickly reappeared with damaged exterior skin which exposed her true android body. The fight continued and Spider Man tried to swing towards another building but Ripster jumped onto the webbing and sliced the web-line. The two combatants started to plummet several stories down but Spider Man twisted his body so Ripster would be under him when they hit the ground. Spider Man was unconscious but Ripster was still functioning and escaped with the web-head into the subway system. Ripster reached an abandoned subway tunnel and presented Silvermane with Spider Man. Ripster placed Spider Man inside a contraption that started to drain his blood into Silvermane’s new body and ceased to function after completing her assignment.   

Creation

Ripster was created by Terry Kavanagh and Alex Saviuk in 1991 and first appeared in Web of Spider-Man # 79. 

Powers & Abilities

Ripster was an android with superhuman strength, durability and resistance to injury. Ripster also carried a super bazooka and a knife that coursed with some unknown energy.
