Rocker Bonn was a former operative of Checkmate with the metahuman ability to incorporate mass while absorbing its properties, similar to previous Amazing-Men like Will Everett, Will Everett III or Markus Clay. Despite this, there is no known connection between Bonn and previous Amazing-Men. In addition, he can discharge the absorbed energy.
Bonn went on the lam after extensive experimentation by Project Cadmus. Bonn ended up in the small town of Wayne, Texas, washing dishes in a small diner. When Kevin Kho came to town, local police was alerted about Bonn’s presence by Brother Eye to lure him into the open. Eye turns Kho into OMAC. In the ensuing fight, Bonn is blinded when OMAC punches Bonn’s giant concrete face off. While recovering, Bonn attempts to absorb OMAC’s energy, only to have OMAC’s circuitry replicate inside him, allowing Brother Eye to control and store him. Brother Eye had wanted him as he deemed him as possible help in upcoming conflicts with Checkmate.
