The Challengers of the Unknown were acquaintances who miraculously survived a plane crash unscathed. They concluded that since they were “living on borrowed time”, they should band together for hazardous adventures. The four â Kyle “Ace” Morgan, Matthew “Red” Ryan, Leslie “Rocky” Davis and Walter Mark “Prof” Haley â became the Challengers of the Unknown.
He was a boxer prior to becoming a member of the Challengers of the Unknown. After years of adventuring as a member of the Challengers of the Unknown, Rocky retires and becomes a reverend. He is seen hearing confessions during Final Crisis and eventually comes to work on Oolong Island, working with the Doom Patrol.
Recently he has taken up adventuring again, helping the Justice Society of America protect Monument Point.
