Ron Black was created by Mark Verheiden. The character doesn’t belong to the mainstream continuity of the DC Universe and appeared in the Smallville Comics only.
Storyarc
Ron Black was the newest ace reporter for the Daily Planet and he met Chloe Sullivan during her summer internship. Chloe had a crush on Ron but couldn’t really talk to him about it. They worked together and he thought Chloe would become a great reporter sometimes.
After some of her research of the criminal CEO of Intertech Edgar Huff, his chief yelled at him, because he think his article is the worst-researched “piece of junk” he ever given to him.
Later, Ron introduced his wife Reyna to Chloe.
