Origin
Sebastian Towers was one of The Chessmen under the employ of Obadiah Stane who also granted him powerful technology. He was tasked by Stane to use his tech to hypnotise the attendees of a meeting that Iron Man was to attend.
Creation
Rook was created by Dennis O’Neil and Luke McDonnell, with his first (and only) appearance being in Iron Man #167.
