Rusty was the protagonist of the series “Rusty and his Pals” (1938 – 1940). It started with young Rusty running away from home on a raft, along with his pals Specs and Tubby. Then it developed into a more adventures direction. It is often called an imitator of “Terry and the Pirates”. Rusty was an early creation of Bop Cane.
