Rusty Ryan, a student in Boyville, a school/community inspired by Boytown which had been overseen by the retired coastal guard Cappy Jenks. Ryan and his good friends Smiley stopped many criminal schemes in the town. Rusty formed the Boyville Brigadiers, a team of Boyville students including his pals Ed, Pierpont, Lee and Alababa, who all wore red white and blue costumes. They saw to it that their part of America was protected from any threat which might take place in the area.
