Ryan works on the 7th floor in the Daily Planet’s “Morgue Room”. The “Morgue Room” is known for its holding of files on persons, places or events. Ryan is one a few people who know that Clark Kent is Superman (Action Comics #429). Ryan has a sister Hester, who has a son named Peter who’s a magician and a hypnotist who goes by the stage name “the Amazing Presto”. Peter hypnotized his uncle Ryan and learned that Clark Kent is Superman. Superman had to use Super-Hypnotism on Ryan and Peter to forget his secret identity (Superman Special #3).
