Sal was created by Mark Waid for his run on Daredevil.
Major Story Arcs
Daredevil-Man w/o Fear
Deborah Giacomo and Vincent Petrocelli are getting married and joining two of New York’s biggest crime families together, but Spot has paid off Sal Donoratti to help him sneak in and kidnap Katie Giacomo. The plan would have worked but Daredevil gets wind of it and crashes the wedding. While fighting Spot, Daredevil tries a “blind man’s bluff” and explains to the group that Spot is working with an inside man. Daredevil then listens for someone’s pulse to quicken and is able to point out Sal as the inside man. Sal tries to save his own skin by shouting that he’ll tell the families everything and that Spot put him up to it, but before he can do anything Spot breaks his neck killing “Uncle Sal”.
