Young Samson had incredible physical strength and durability. Capable of handling Large Monsters and Enemies of Great Power. Samson also had other abilities besides great strength and durability. He could leap great distances into the air also as if he could Fly. Samson could also generate Energy Blasts from his Gold Wristbands as well. The Smash of the Wristbands also effected his dog Goliath a great deal. The transformation of the Wristbands changes Goliath into a Giant Lion with incredible strength as well and also gave him the power to generate Energy Blasts from his Eyes.
This transformation sequence may have been the inspiration for the transformation sequence in the later series He-Man and Battlecat.
