Sara Wolfe

Creation

Sarah Wolfe is a character who has appeared in the pages of the Marvel Comics publication of Dr.Strange over the many years. She was created by Chris Claremont and Gene Colan and first appeared in Doctor Strange #38 – Eye of the Beholder!, December 1979.

Sara Wolfe was of Cheyenne origin. Her great grand-father was shaman of her clan who wanted to teach her the craft but she chose a different path. Sarah moved to New York city at some undisclosed time and moved into a small apartment. Unbeknownst to her, Sarah had ended up moving into the same neighborhood in which Dr.Stephen Strange resided in. The two were now neighbors and Sarah took a quick liking to Stephen and both started forming a close friendship.

Sometime later Sarah came to realize that her new friend Stephen was not an eccentric New York local, but the master of the mystic arts. Now reveling himself as Dr.Strange he offered a position to Sarah as his personal assistant. Sarah agreed and became a loyal and disciplined associate as Strange’s secretary.

Sara Wolfe, became strongly attracted to Wong, who began to reciprocate her feelings. However, Wong put an end to what might have become a romance with Wolfe when he was notified that Imei Chang, the woman to whom he was betrothed, had at last come of age to be married. Currently, Imei Chang lives in New York City, and the relationship between Wong and Imei appears to be proceeding well.

Strange subsequently cast a spell causing the population of the world, including Wong and Sara Wolfe, to believe him dead. As a result Wong and Wolfe perceived Strange as a man named Stephen Sanders. Strange made Wong and Wolfe the joint administrators of the Stephen Strange Memorial Metaphysical Institute, an institution for research into the occult.

Following the defeat of Shuma-Gorath, Strange returned to New York City and released Wong and Sara Wolfe from his spell. Realizing that Strange was not dead, Wong and Wolfe warmly welcomed him back. Since then, the general populace has also learned that Doctor Strange is still alive and Strange has regained his missing talismans and books.

Powers and Abilities

Sarah is a normal human being with the regular attributes of a woman her age. She maintains regular exercise. Sarah has shown great wisdom and resolve as an associate of the master of the mystic arts. She has a quick mind and is a regular task master when getting his itinerary in shape.

Sarah at one time was a conduit for Dr.Strange’s astral self. Although not able to tap into Strange’s power he did observe that Sarah had an the innate affinity to magic.
