Major Story Arcs

The Sirius IV Conspiracy

Sarah and Arthur Dekko often play together outside as kids, loving their rural lifestyle.

Sarah and Arthur both become artists and go to art school where Zot‘s uncle Max teaches. He becomes their friend as well. Sarah and Arthur are now romantic partners. Arthur sometimes uses Sarah as the muse or subject for his art, including a painting that Max keeps for many years. He also makes art about nature, which he also cares for deeply.

Arthur finds out he has cancer and has to replace parts of his body with cybernetics. As he does, he becomes more emotionally remote and his art becomes more abstract and analytical. However, it also starts to sell for a lot of money.

Sarah breaks up with Arthur due to his emotional state. It is unclear what happens to her after that but seemingly she dies.

Much later, Arthur becomes the supervillain Dekko, and attacks Max and his friends at Max’s house, where he still has the painting of Sarah. Dekko starts hallucinating that the Sarah in the painting is talking to him.

Ever his moral compass, she tells him to stop his violence. Dekko submits to “her” plea and leaves.

Later, Dekko has again captured Max, Jenny, Zot, and others. He again begins to hallucinate, this time thinking that Jenny is Sarah. Max has Jenny further this delusion by reminding Dekko of their love, and of his love for nature. These memories frustrate Dekko and eventually break his programming, freezing him up and allowing them to escape.

Heroes and Villains

Dekko returns and visits Max’s house during a party. Jenny talks about Sarah with Zot, saying that she thinks Max loved her too, and reinforces the feeling that she is probably dead. Jenny empathizes with Dekko, who couldn’t have a physical relationship with Sarah once he was fully transformed into metal.

Jenny talks with Dekko later. He is aware that she tricked him earlier.

Dekko soon goes into another hallucinatory state and sees Sarah again–although this time Jenny is not prompting the delusion. Sarah says she loves the way he turned the world into a blank space (or so he thinks), but that the continued existence of her and Dekko are stains upon it. She disappears. Dekko agrees and erases himself as well, retreating into an electronic coma again.
