Savanni Harrison

Savanni “Steve” Harrison was in college on football scholarship. He was taking several humanities classes to get them out of the way so he could get the classes he wanted. He joined Hanover Blake’s Humanities 101 class. He thought she was some kind of weird hippie chick because she seemed to focus more on acient religions, magic and mysticism. One day Ms. Blake Ouija board did a whole break down on the creation and use of Ouija boards. He thought it was a load of bull, but Marissa Sanchez, an attractive freshman girl, was into it so he played along.

One night Marissa invited some of the people from class to get together and play with one she’d bought from the store. While the night was mostly uneventful, they began hearing knocks and noises. Things fell in the kitchen and the board answered questions in a way people were uncomfortable with. They tried to end the session, but the planchette flew off the board. They all got scared, but Marissa was so afraid she ran to a local church called “Praise Him Outreach” pastored by Reverend Michael Damien. He had stayed behind late to counsel a member and was leaving when she came. The preacher burned the board and prayed over the students. They all left feeling better aside from Steve. He was afraid, but wanted the board and offered to take it before it was burned.

Steve got his own board from an occult bookstore. It was expensive, wood not card board and round with symbols around and a pentagram in the middle. He would get friends to use it with him, but most times use it by himself. He started receiving just numbers. He played the numbers and won a small lottery jackpot. He received the numbers again and kept investigating. Speaking to some people online, they believed them to be coordinates. He followed said coordinates to an open field. Looking around he was drawn to a small patch of land where nothing grew. Though he was on private property, he got a shovel and dug, unearthing a small corked bottle with a wax seal.

Upon getting the bottle home he didn’t open it. He started using the board and asked what was in the bottle. The board spelled R D A N over and over, but Rdan wasn’t a word he understood. Finally it spelled out W I S H. Could it be? A genie? Curiosity got the best of him, he broke the seal and dug the cork out. He felt a presence in the room. “If you’re a real genie, show me your power!” Steve demanded. And those were his last words.
